Well 2009 is now well and truly with us the credit card bills are falling through the door and the credit crunch has finally hit Ellesmere Port!!!

2008 was not a very good year for us at the red lion having lost a few good friends
way before their time and because of this my eye has not been on the ball and keeping this website up to date was not at the top of the list however onward and upward.

2009 brings a whole host of new bands to the red lion as well as the good old regulars you all seem to love I will try to write as many reviews of these bands as i can but feel free to write your own reviews when you see ones you like or don't like

with 8 pubs a day closing there may be tough times ahead but we will do our best to keep bringing you the best live entertainment around so please help us to keep this going and pop in whenever you can to catch the live music, it's not what you spend when you are out it's how good you feel when you go home having been entertained.
